With Grandpa's stolen Fire Truck toys at the Fire Station.

Easter weekend was a blast. I've been paying for it also, since I ran myself into the ground! We started off the weekend going shopping with Grandma Lorraine. We went to several consignment shops looking for a baby swing, and Talan was on really good behavior for having to get in and out of the car a lot. We ended up at the Costco in Covington, and it was sample day galore. Talan got to eat a few samples then got very concerned about other people eating his samples, so we had to hit several stands up multiple times. "Other people eat my samples mom" is what he kept telling me, gosh it was to funny. He was so worried that everyone was eating the samples. Saturday went to play at Grandma and Grandpa McCollum's house. Talan loves to answer the phone and we let him no big deal. Well Grandpa calls, Talan gets very excited and tells Grandpa Cliff to come home now and take me to fire station. So thats what we did, we all packed up and took Talan to the fire station (we are lucky that Grandpa is a Firemen, and get special time at the station). As usual Talan had a blast turning on the lights on the fire truck, doing his own rig check, asking Grandpa what every little item was. Then it was off to Grandpa's office where he keeps the toy firetrucks, which Talan just had to have. So here we are he can play on the real thing but has to have the toy ones to go with it! He was in 7th heaven! Off to the Browns Point Pizzaria, where Talan met a little boy. So my little social butterfly and this little boy start playing. Talan keeps asking us what the little boys name is and we tell him to introduce himself. So he beats his chest one time like Tarzan and says I Talan Ward. Mom, Dad and I bust up laughing at this chest pounding thing. Where to kids come up with this stuff. We colored eggs which the colors started off pretty, then as they got mixed and matched by my little chef, the colors started to look a bit nasty. Easter Sunday in our family is not a holy day like it is for most. We celebrate the Easter Bunny and nothing else. Chris sadly to say had to work, but it gave Talan and I a chance to go to breakfast together. Found out Talan does not like extra goodies on his pancakes. He got to paint with the paint set the Easter Bunny left for him. He was not interested in hunting for easter eggs. He picked up a few but not like we thought he would. Got to spend some good quality time with Uncle Pat and Aunt JoAnn. He painted several pictures with Aunt JoAnn, this made her very happy, since normally he doesn't give her the time of day. Not sure why he won't give JoAnn the time of day, she spoils him rotten....I guess he is just weird. All in all we had a great weekend.
